THE PRESTWICH ARTS FESTIVAL

The Outline

We were tasked with strengthening The PAF’s brand foundations that would go on to inform the visual and verbal design system — serving up the annual arts festival in a whole new light across events, campaigns, products, and platforms.

The idea was simple. We created a new visual and verbal system to shift the festival from a humble annual gathering, to a heroic and modern beacon for the celebration of the arts in the community. Our work covered the entire festival experience: from creative strategy and ideation, to a robust identity system with comprehensive guidelines to help grow the festivals impact and reach across all platforms.

Bold Is Better

Our new design system signals The PAF’s core brand values, while building upon the ambition shown by the festival to be a prominent yearly event. We used functionality, simplicity, and community as filters when developing each element in the new identity system.

The team worked at pace to develop the brand and all the required partner assets needed to stage a festival. From social icons and print graphics, right through to way finding and physical marketing, In the end, our work transformed one of Manchesters fledgling events into a modern stand out festival now capable of expanding its reach and fanbase year on year.
